Rezina Dhakal

Rezina Dhakal is a driven nursing student at The University of Texas at Arlington and serves as the Social Chair for Global Medical Training (GMT). Originally from Nepal, Rezina brings a global perspective and a strong commitment to service, with a passion for healthcare access and equity across cultures.

Her dedication to global health is strengthened by her volunteering in the underserved villages of Peru, where she worked closely with local communities to provide essential medical care and health education. These transformative experiences deepened her understanding of the disparities in global healthcare and inspired her continued involvement in GMT.

As Social Chair, Rezina aims to foster meaningful connections among members, promote team engagement, and help cultivate a supportive, collaborative environment. She is excited to plan inclusive events that build connections while advancing GMT’s mission of service and hands-on learning.

Outside of her leadership role, her long-term goal is to become a compassionate and culturally competent nurse who advocates for marginalized communities and contributes to global health efforts.

Rezina is enthusiastic about supporting GMT’s new initiatives and creating lasting memories for members through purposeful events and outreach.
